What you see is what you get.

No hidden construction techniques. No extravagant finishes.
No half-assed attempts at functions trying to solve problems no one asked for.

Heavy Metal is a modular shelving system designed to be as straightforward as it is functional. Its design is intentionally transparent—anyone can understand how it’s drawn and constructed simply by looking at it.

In fact, nothing is stopping you from heading to your local hardware store and building something similar yourself.

The only custom components are two raw aluminum plates, proudly bearing visible marks from their production.
These imperfections will continue to evolve over time, with new ones added through use, blending the past and present.
Obsessed with perfection and polished aesthetics, the world leaves little space for the raw, unaltered image. Every action sparks a reaction, and so, in 2024, the design studio (Superbad) was forcefully willed into existence.

Heavy Metal is the first object produced by (Superbad).
It puts the ethos of the studio into physical form, ready for you to assemble and enjoy at home.
